Photo gallery highlights workers in ‘green’ jobs

The Green Jobs Photo Gallery will highlight the work of the building trades, service, and industrial union members working in clean energy jobs. The Blue Green Alliance, a nationwide partnership between labor unions and environmental organizations, went behind the scenes of the growing green economy to capture the Minnesota union workers making clean energy possible.

The gallery opening will draw in key policy makers, arts organizations, rank and file union members, and environmental organizations. Workers from various sectors will be brought together, ranging from installing wind turbines and solar panels to manufacturing hybrid buses.

The grand opening is free and open to the public. After the opening, the show will continue for several weeks.

Sponsored by the Blue Green Alliance, the show is co-sponsored by the University of Minnesota Labor Education Service and many other organizations.
