How poor people survive in the USA

Homelessness, hunger and shame: poverty is rampant in the richest country in the world. Over 40 million people in the United States live below the poverty line, twice as many as it was fifty years ago. It can happen very quickly.

Filiberto Nolasco Gomez is a former union organizer and former editor of Minneapolis based Workday Minnesota, the first online labor news publication in the state. Filiberto focused on longform and investigative journalism. He has covered topics including prison labor, labor trafficking, and union fights in the Twin Cities.

  1. Homelessness is a labor issue and a union issue.
    The video made the point that one can become homeless and in poverty so very fast.
    What was mind boggling to me was the mayor of Los Angles was so against against the small houses, rather than working with couple that provides them.
