Nurses represented by Service Employees International Union Local 113 will participate in a "National Nurse Chat" over the Internet at 10 p.m. CST tonight.
The chat is open to union and non-union nurses and other health care professionals. To participate, visit the SEIU Local 113 website.
The focus of the chat will be the recent agreement between the SEIU and Kaiser Permanente, the nation's second largest health care provider. The contract sets "a new standard in America for quality health care," the union said.
Through the National Nurse Chat, "we're providing a look at how a unique partnership is enabling nurses and other front line caregivers to work together with managers in ways some had thought impossible," the union said.
